Inessa

There is a reason why the safety protocols on airplanes instruct us to put the oxygen mask on ourselves first in case of an emergency. We can not care for others if we don’t focus on our own needs, even with the very limited time most of us have daily. Yet many of us get stuck on a hamster wheel and end up giving and giving until we simply have nothing left. This in conjunction with trauma can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, and hopelessness. My goal is to disrupt that cycle by providing a safe space for my clients to work through their most vulnerable emotions and emerge ready to tackle life’s challenges.

I have spent my career working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families and use cognitive behavioral therapy in conjunction with motivational counseling to elicit real and lasting change. The objective is to access your inner strength and use it to examine and mend maladaptive patterns, whether they be emotional, relational, or trauma-based.

Your past does not have to dictate your future. I believe that no matter what you have experienced, you can lead a happy and fulfilling life. I want to help you feel powerful and empowered to heal.

"Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it." - Helen Keller. I personally can identify with struggle, physical & emotional pain, and the heartache of loss, but I also can testify to the beauty of joy, peace, perseverance, resilience, and hope. Difficult seasons create opportunities for growth & insight and help you to learn more about yourself and others. Healing is possible no matter what the problem is and I’m here to help you discover what that looks like! I have worked with diverse groups of children and adolescents, adults, couples, and families in a variety of settings.

I have extensive experience w/ anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma/abuse, self-esteem issues, marital/relationship discord, parenting struggles, anger management, behavioral issues, bullying, grief & loss, & postpartum depression & anxiety.

My approach is warm, compassionate, nonjudgmental, integrative, holistic, multicultural, & strengths-based. I believe in the power of helping people discover the inner wealth & strengths they possess to persevere through life’s hardships. No matter where you are at in life, I am here to instill hope, support, empower, encourage, & help you build skills to navigate through your problems. Looking forward to hearing your story & journeying with you towards healing!
